January 1872 specifically was a busier than usual night at the Farnsworth House. The Hotel keep Almon Farnsworth was busy visiting the regulars while welcoming patrons who arrived for an appointment with a traveling phrenologist. A phrenologist is a person that measures bumps on the skull to predict mental traits. Some late 1800’s alternative medicine or pseudoscience. While the phrenologist was drawing and depicting skulls, someone elses brain was plotting and planning a murder.
