In this inspiring episode, I sit down with Laura Bratton, a speaker, coach, and author whose story is a testament to the power of resilience, courage, and perspective.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Laura was diagnosed with an eye disease at just nine years old, facing the devastating reality that she would lose her sight. Over the next decade, she navigated the traumatic journey of adjusting to life without vision.
Rather than letting her circumstances define her, Laura embraced her new reality with extraordinary strength. She went on to graduate from Arizona State University with a degree in psychology and became the first blind student to receive a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Laura is also the author of Harnessing Courage, a book that shares her journey and offers wisdom for anyone facing hardship. Today, through her organization Ubi Global, she empowers people around the world with speaking and coaching programs that focus on overcoming obstacles with grit and gratitude.
In our conversation, we talk about:
Laura’s story is not only about surviving adversity but thriving in spite of it. Her wisdom will inspire you to face your own challenges with courage and grace.
