Description

You should wash your bananas before eating them, even if you plan to peel them. This is because bacteria and dirt can be present on the skin of the banana, and can be transferred to the edible flesh when you peel it. Additionally, if you are cutting the banana in half (with the peel on) to serve to others, or if you'll ever touch the flesh after peeling it, it is important to wash the banana first to prevent cross-contamination.
