Our personal and business lives are merging. The structure of the workday has been obliterated. People no longer rely on a sales channel to get information. People leverage a constantly expanding digital channel, available 24/7 to collect information. This is not eliminating the need for presales/solution consulting, but it sure is changing it. Less time delivering a "standard" demo. More time spent on better, more qualified leads demonstrating value not features and functions. A change in mindset, process and technology is needed to improve the conversion rate from demo to closed deals.
