Financial anxiety is a burden for many college students, forcing them to turn down unpaid opportunities for jobs that can help make ends meet. Pay Our Interns was founded by two former unpaid interns in 2016 who have been working closely with Congress for more paid internships. On this episode, Co-Founder, Carlos Vera shares the launch of the organization and the impact they've had for youth employment. We also discuss how Pay Our Interns stepped up during this on-going pandemic by setting up an interns relief fund and advocating for virtual internships.
