That’s exactly what our guest experienced as she fought to keep her household afloat during and after the Great Recession. This frightening moment in history made her realize that having a job wasn’t enough. She realized that she had to build an asset that would weather any economic storm. She realized it wouldn’t be an easy feat. But she also realized that it would all be worth it. At the age of 44, the mother of four was officially retired.
Anna Kelley, founding partner of Zenith Capital Group, began investing in real estate over 20 years ago. She was hit particularly hard by the 2008 recession; but soldiered on nevertheless and today enjoys the fruit of her labor. Anna shares two decades worth of investing wisdom, covering topics such as house hacking, the landlord-tenant relationship, recovering from a recession, seller financing, raising financially intelligent kids, and paying it forward once you achieve financial freedom.
