In Mosiah 4, verse 30, counsels us, “...if ye do not watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds, and observe the commandments of God, and continue in the faith of what ye have heard concerning the coming of our Lord…, ye must perish. And now, O man, remember, and perish not.”
When you think about your ‘thoughts, your words, and your deeds’* in times of stress or difficult circumstances, are you always comfortable with the way you acted? Do you know what’s going on in your brain at times like that? Can you explain your behavior scientifically? Spiritually?
Have you ever looked back and asked yourself, “What on earth was I thinking?”
We may all have had times when a word or an action of another person suddenly created a swell of emotion - frustration, anger, shame, or anxiety - to grow within us, and resulted in us saying or doing something that later we regretted.
