“Satan has marshaled his forces and is raging against the work of the Lord and those of us engaged in it.”
So warned President Nelson*, and haven’t you found it to be true?
Perhaps most often we experience that raging after he whispers something within our own hearts or minds that then leads us to actions we later regret. And so much that he whispers to our minds and hearts is untrue. He is, after all, the father of lies.
So, how does one catch the adversary at his lying? How do you avoid his distractions and his devious attempts to derail your progress?
In this episode Karen and two life coaches from Life Changing Services.org meet to discuss the power of discernment, and how completing a Lost Battle Analysis helps us discern Satan’s involvement sooner.
President Nelson continued, “Because of the increasing dangers we face, our need for divine guidance has never been greater, and our efforts to hear the voice of Jesus Christ—our Mediator, Savior, and Redeemer—have never been more urgent.”
We are surrounded with dangers, but we need not fear**. We each have weakness***, but we need not despair. As we become trained, and pray for the spirit of discernment, we can spot the enemy afar off, and win more of our battles. And when we lose a battle, we can remember that God knew that would be part of our mortal experience, and that He provided the assistance we need: We can call upon the cleansing, enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to be forgiven; to help us learn the needed lesson; and to move forward with greater strength and wisdom.
