You’ve heard a lot from us about being at war.
Elder Robert D. Hales had this to say:
“We are engaged in a battle between the forces of light and darkness. The Lord is our light and, literally, our salvation. His light will form a protective shield between us and the darkness. The generation of spiritual light can be found in praying, studying the scriptures, fasting and serving. "Unless you are fully engaged in living the gospel — living it with all your 'heart, might, mind and strength' — you cannot generate enough spiritual light to push back the darkness . . . “
So we have a question:
Are you finding the light you need so you can push back the darkness? Do you feel you can be “fully engaged in living the gospel” each day? Do you succeed in getting your daily prayers and scriptures in? Would you like to do better in any of those areas?
Being “fully engaged” is another way to describe what we, at Eternal Warriors, call “Enlisted.” As a person begins the Eternal Warriors program, they ‘enlist’ by committing to live the principles they are taught and keep the goals that they set for themselves. We find that as a person decides to enlist and follow the program, they gain the strength to do what they’ve set out to do, and they begin to see their life change for the better.
Who are the people who are enlisting in this program and finding results that bless their lives?
Mothers who are distraught because of the behavior of a child; Spouses who are in pain because of the behavior of their spouse; People who are simply ready to move forward in life; People who want to actually follow through on things they say they’ll do; Families who want to grow closer together; Grandparents who want a greater connection with their grandchildren; Individuals who want greater self-mastery and to understand their purpose more clearly; People who want a greater connection with the Savior and with Heavenly Father; People who want support in their daily battles with the adversary; And many others!
It could be you! Come check us out, and see if this is the time for you to enlist. Come join those who are finding the great power that comes from using your agency to choose action, commitment, and increased faith!
