After ten years of work in the music business and twilighting as a bartender alongside the likes of Kenny Chesney, our guest today left Nashville for his homeland of Iowa. Rowdy Lind then managed the first Krispy Kreme to open in the Midwest. Yet, this well-educated and multi-talented man had yet to find his lane. That is until he saw an ad in the classified section of the newspaper that caught his eye. It read, “Do you like to drive? Do you like to have fun? Do you like to make money?” His answer was, “Yes, yes, and Yes!” The advertisement was from a Georgia-based company called Norton Transport, and as they say, the rest is history. Rowdy’s adventurous spirit found a home in Driveaway, and he will tell you that he’s still amazed that he gets paid to be a tourist. We’re pleased to welcome a longtime friend and true renaissance man to the show on this week’s episode of the #SixFigureTrucker.
