We are long overdue for another Doctor As Patient episode. I decided it would be perfect for me to share my own personal story and journey with migraine. Having been a lifelong migraine patient, it has impacted my life since I was 11 years old. I have tried to never let it define me, but living with a chronic illness certainly controls many aspects of your life.
I have tried almost every therapeutic option/treatment and now am blessed to have found a game changing new medication that has given me my life back! Along the way I have also had huge empathy for my migraine patients - we suffer in a way that most people will never understand.
I hope you enjoy this brief glimpse into my migraine life. There are many great online resources and support groups that I would recommend. As always -message me with any questions!
