Welcome to the Shift with Intention podcast with today's guest Jennifer Bardot, the publisher and author of Growth - Deconstructing GRIT Collection and Owning Your G.R.I.T. She shares the internal shift that prompted her to finally write her book and her realization that this is the best opportunity to tell the stories of other wonderful women too.
She explores the joy of helping other people live their best lives and the way her anthology brought together women of diverse backgrounds. Jennifer also recalls her mother's strength and how she would like to emulate this same strength in her community.
HIGHLIGHT QUOTES
Staying the course through the difficulties of publishing a book - Jennifer: "Nothing ever goes as planned. Something's going to pop up. Something's going to try to derail you but you need to stay true to who you are. And we talked about this during Growth. You got to stay true to who you are and why you're truly there."
Be the person you needed during your darkest time: Jennifer: "Opportunities that should be on my plate aren't there because I am a woman. Doesn't matter how many designations I get, or how many relationships I have in this community, that opportunity will never exist because I am a woman. And I think that is why I choose to do these professional developments in women."
