The Tampa Bay Rays dropped the first game of the four-game series against the Kansas City Royals at Tropicana Field. The Rays bullpen could not hold the lead and once again, lost a winnable game. However, the biggest storyline was Rays manager Kevin Cash admitting to the media that star shortstop Wander Franco would be benched for two games, following tantrums and ‘not being a good teammate’ throughout this season.
