In todays hunting culture, people are told they can't go out and hunt unless they have the very best of everything. This week John talks about where the common man or woman should be spending their money on gear. It is in fact possible to go on a hunt without breaking the bank. When John went on his first elk hunt, he was wearing hand me down boots, a pack that was too small, and a $30 tent. Today his gear list is a little more sophisticated, and he uses his experiences in the woods and mountains to break down what is and what is not important to have with you.
