On today's episode we talk with Capt. Justin Leake of Panama City Inshore & host of Chasin' the Sun on Discovery. We get a brief recap of this years tarpon season and the overall fish numbers. We talk about the impact of Fred on the local fishery as well as get a full report on how Capt. Justin targets redfish this time of year. The offshore/nearshore reef fishing is heating up as well. AJ's, triggerfish and big mangrove snappers all make for a productive outing. There are also decent numbers of chicken dolphin when all of the variables come together. It's a great time to get out there, especially if you don't mind the late August heat.
