Description

In this episode, Mark Clifton and Mark Hallock discuss a recent quote that Mark shared that got quite a bit of pushback online: “I’ve never known a pastor to burn out when he was deeply abiding with Christ.” – Richard Blackaby

• There’s a difference between struggles and burnout.
• Burnout is one of the causes of moral failure in leaders.
• Your rest is not found in cessation of activities, or in recreational activities. Your rest must be found in Christ.
• If you’re abiding in Christ, you won’t experience burnout, because Christ will be your strength.
• A good diagnostic question: What do you think about when you’re not thinking about anything?
