Speedy Claxton is an assistant coach at Hofstra University, and is also a former NBA Champion with the San Antonio Spurs. Speedy was a member of the 2003 NBA Champion Spurs squad that, but also had stints with the 76ers, Warriors, Hornets, and Hawks before returning to coach at his alma mater, Hofstra University. The Pride won their first CAA championship in 2020, and were picked as the favorites to repeat as CAA champions this season. We spoke to speedy about his team's success this season, the strength of the CAA, and of course got some classic stories from his days playing with Tim Duncan, and being coached by Gregg Popovich.
