If you’re ever going to step out and do something great, you’ll need to not only be good at the task at hand, but also have some skills leading people. And look, people can fickle, unreliable, self-serving and sometimes downright unpleasant. Learning to deal with the perils of leadership is not something you can master quickly, it’s more aptly developed on the job and there really is no way to know if you’ve got it all mastered.
