Two games, two losses for the St. Louis Cardinals in Chicago. Monday's was defined by Mike Shildt leaving KK Kim in the game for a batter too long and Tuesday's by sloppy play from the Cardinals. Jack Flaherty gave up 7 runs, only 3 of them earned, in his worst start of the season. Bottom line in both games were that the Cardinals did not hit, and that needs to change. Whether it's players getting back from injury or making moves, they need to perform better at the plate.
