The Penguins kick off their Western Canada swing this week after dropping a point to a divisional rival on Saturday. Hunter and Patrick begin the show recapping a very familiar loss over the weekend (1:20). The Penguins played well in the first and third periods, as well as overtime, against Columbus on Saturday night, but a lazy second period put them behind the eight-ball and left them with just a single point after losing in a shootout once again. Then, the Penguins will take on the Seattle Kraken in a Monday matinee matchup (14:51). Much like some of their recent competition, it’s a team that can defend but can’t score. Simply put, the Penguins will need a 60-minute effort to get two points to start the road trip. Finally, as the Penguins embark on this Western swing, it’s a chance for them to bank points and put themselves solidly in the playoff picture with the Olympic break looming. (24:40)
