With more and more things being said out there about the sabbath only existing for our earth, I wanted to add a few more things to consider that were not in the sermon.
- one of satan's accusations was that God's law is arbitrary. which means he can add or subtract, he can change it whenever it feels good. So when speakers say that the sabbath didn't exist before our earth, then Satan's claim becomes correct.
- In the truth about angels pg 46. this is about when satan was kicked out of heaven. "Satan stood in amazement at this new condition. His happiness was gone. He looked upon the angels who with him, were once so happy, but who had been expelled from heaven. Now all seemed changed. Countenances which had reflected the image of their maker were gloomy and despairing. Strife, discord, and bitter recrimination were among them. Satan now beholds the terrible results of his rebellion. He shuddered and feared to face the future, and to contemplate the end of these things. " now this is the part I want to focus in on, it says, "the hour for joyful, happy songs of praise to God and HIs dear Son had come. Satan had led the heavenly choir." etc. During the week what hour do you and I look forward to? Isn't it the sabbath hour? we would say today the start or beginning of the sabbath. That's what we as adventist look forward to all week. and here it talks about an hour when Lucifer would start the heavenly worship. I believe it's talking about the sabbath hour. Also, these speakers are saying that heaven has no time. but we just read where a certain hour had arrived in heaven.
- As adventist's we say before God gave the children of Israel the law at Mt Sinai they had the Sabbath. Well I would like to parallel that with before the angels realized there was a law they had the Sabbath.
