Many people today live in despair. In fact, from 2005 to 2019, an average of 70,000 Americans died annually of death from despair (suicide, drug overdose, and alcohol poisoning). We have become a medicated society in America, and much of our despair may even be caused by the side effects of our medications. In America today, 131 million people, or 66% of our population, is on some kind of prescription drug. Now, I am not against medication, but I do know that some medications can create side effects to our moods and attitudes. So today, I have invited Pastor Walt McFadden from Cityview Church in Minneapolis to join me to discuss Despair from a Pastor’s Perspective.
