Penn State head coach James Franklin met with the media yesterday, and the dominant topic of conversation was name, image, and likeness. Today, the BWI Mailbag is all about that conversation after Blue White Illustrated premium members latched on to the topic.
If you'd like to submit your question to the weekly Thursday mailbag show, join On3 for just one dollar and get 12 months of premium access. Host Thomas Frank Carr puts out a message board thread every Wednesday night asking for questions.
T-Frank and senior editor Nate Bauer start the show by discussing their conversations with Penn State coaches on Wednesday. Then, they get deeper into some of the topics they brought up on the BWI Daily Edition yesterday, filmed directly after the availability. T-Frank brings up the receiver position and what sort of players the team is looking for, based on his conversation with receivers coach Taylor Stubblefield. Next, Bauer discussed the offensive line and coaching the position with Phil Trautwein.
From there, they dive into the mailbag. Again, listeners were eager to discuss NIL. Questions dealt with the NIL collectives, which one the university works with, and how the future of college football might change.
