Once again, Penn State struggled to blow out a MAC team at home early but eventually got it done against Central Michigan 33-14. Check out what happened on the BWI Live postgame show with Thomas Frank Carr: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqK

Penn State got to a hot start with a 14-0 lead against Central Michigan in the first quarter but stagnated in the second, allowing the Chippewas to get 14 points and only scoring another touchdown. However, the Nittany Lions kept chopping wood, getting another touchdown in the third and another in the fourth before putting in backup quarterback Drew Allar. Penn State also struggled to overcome penalties that killed drives in the middle of the game.

The Nittany Lions benefitted from four Central Michigan turnovers, including a muffed punt that set up a go-ahead touchdown. However, the Penn State secondary came to play with two interceptions and more than ten pass breakups.
