Today’s guest is Gisela Stromeyer https://www.stromeyerhealing.com/ an internationally well-known artist http://www.stromeyerdesign.com/about.html who loves moving expression of her inner world and making the unseen world visible. Trained as a dancer, architect, healer, and teacher, she’s the President of the non-profit Heart Pulse Partnership https://www.open-heartpulsepartnership.com/ which recently completed the first collaborative community built recycled bottle school in a small Mexican community called Colonia Antrochista. She’s allowed herself to fully experience life, all its pain and joy, in an effort to open and find her truest freedom, and published Just like that, Poems, Paintings and Practices, a book that beautifully depicts the wisdom she’s found along her life journey.
From Germany and a strong female role model in her Mother to studying architecture in the New York, Gisela became an internationally celebrated artist and designer who despite her success as a tension structure designer and artist listened to her heart and put that aside to become the healer she's always been. Gisela shares her experience with loss and letting go after trying to force the storybook life of marriage and children. Having suffered several miscarriages and the end of a relationship she allowed herself to learn to grieve and thereby fully experience life in order to truly open herself to the wisdom of her heart. We talk about subjects like, love, fear, loss and freedom in honor of Independence Day. What does it mean to be truly free? She shares readings from her book which reflect the wisdom that she's learned by not being afraid to follow her heart. It's always a gift to spend time with a Gisela. I hope you enjoy our talk and find your independence.
To quote from her poem "Now," The past, present, and future are constructions of the mind. The heart only wants to love in the moment. If you can let go of your thinking of the past, the future, and even of the present then you are here! To move from the past into the heart, forgive. To move from the future into the heart, trust. To move from the present into your heart, breathe.
Until next week, love yourself and uplift one another.
