Alabama’s offense, behind dual-threat quarterback Jalen Milroe and Ryan Williams, may be the country’s most explosive group.
But the Crimson Tide have played undisciplined football at times and Tennessee’s pass rush, led by James Pearce Jr., could be a concern.
On the other hand, the Vols haven’t faced an offense that’s anywhere near this explosive and so secondary play is key.
Tennessee’s offense has gone backwards recently as teams are daring Nico Iamaleava to throw.
But Iamaleava is mobile and the combination of he and Dylan Sampson could give the Vols the edge on the ground.
Alabama’s defense on a per-play basis has been great (and the Crimson Tide have also done a good job of forcing turnovers) but it’s also been on the field a lot against a Tennessee offense that generates a high number of offensive snaps.
