During this past March, Matt visited the farm and put together a site-specific plan for the property to steer their work in a new direction to maximize their impact on it.
Over the past six months over 120 acres of pasture have been removed to allow the early successional plant communities to grow into an old field management scenario. In less than a full growing season, the native growth is already 5-6 feet tall offering both cover and forage. This forage is also out-competing the soybean fields across the property.
