As the European leagues came to a close, all eyes were turned towards the Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid where only one team would be crowned Champions of Europe. Unfortunately, the game itself did not live up to the hype as Liverpool and Tottenham put in sub-par performances on one of football's biggest stages.
On the flip side in national team football, Portugal adds another trophy to the cabinet with the UEFA Nations League final win over the Netherlands.
