I've taken roughly 13 months since I first started compiling tracks working away on Volume II of "My Definition of Chill." Like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter I would find some tracks and add them to the project and forget about it for awhile. A couple months go past and I forage a few more.
Well, it's ready now. Putting together dance mixes is a relatively straightforward process for me. A chill mix is a different beast entirely. I'm going to be honest and tell you most chill mixes bore the hell out of me. Maybe that's just me not searching out wide and far enough to find music that entertains me.
Either way, in putting together this mix, I logged many many hours in compiling, editing, and mixing it together. Along the way I was able to mix in some of my all time favorite songs by favorite artists of mine (Ulrich Schnauss and Underworld) along with some new classics (Phoenix, LCD Soundsystem), some covers (Toto, Walk on the Wild Side) and hidden gems. I hope you, dear listener, enjoy the toils of my labor. - Deckard
