It was late August, and I was a sad Trav. I was sad thinking about all my friends going to Burning Man who would be subjected to bowel-wobbling bass. I was worried that the Root Society sound system would emit the brown note, thus causing my friends to soil their American-flag speedos. I thought, "if I can just fill their soul with a little soul, that may help improve their continence!"
In response to the sadness, I decided to pull together some of my favorite 'Lovely Day' disco tracks and create a mix for my friends to help pass the time during the long drive to Burning Man. The mix is filled with soul and disco influences from the 70's and 80's and represents some of today's best Nu Disco edit artists. It is paired best with a sunny day in the park, Belgian beer in hand.
