Short-term fixes can resolve Pakistan's power crisis including changing the country's power regulatory regime which was introduced through what Dr Kamal Munir terms failed privatisation in the 1990s. Longer term, the fuel mix should be revised with greater roles for solar, wind and hydro, and the harnessing of Pakistan's massive coal reserves.
