About:
Amsterdam-based DJ and producer NAKANO BLU has entered the scene during the turbulent year of 2021, after changing his career as a drummer for dark electronic music. Being active for many years as a hip-hop producer and versatile session drummer, he decided to start a new project focused on the inspiring sounds of the Amsterdam club scene, where techno is king and there is a huge space for experimental DJs and producers to play their songs for a public that loves electronics experimentation. His first single released on Cologne-based label Urban Undergrounds was a more laid-back, fringe house track, but his production style quickly evolved into the IDM and lo-fi techno sounds of his first EP, Æ, released on the Berlin label Corresponding Positions, label of releases from techno legends like Umwelt or Templer followed by his second EP on label LXVIII including remixes by techno heavyweights Charlton, Irazu, Rita Maomenos and Douglas Cali. Following this evolution, NAKANO BLU progressed towards breakbeat productions and fast DJ sets containing an eclectic mix of techno, IDM and latin influenced electronics, defining their particular style of DJing and ready to tear up the dance floor of any club.
