A LOT of variety on this latest Nightlight show! Laurence Reeve and Special When Lit are making their debut on the show, plus fresh material from David Blossom, Jeremy Spencer, Jerry Paladino. Ray Brannon and Michael Dooley. Lots to listen to, including 3 freshly recorded inspirations, plus a real oldie goldie blast from the past!
Besides all this, I am going to read you two very interesting short stories from the Apocrypha, Susanna and Bel and the Dragon. These have been described as the first detective stories ever written.
The Apocrypha was a part of the KJV for 274 years until being removed in 1885 A.D. Many claim the 14 books of the Apocrypha should never have been included in the Bible. Others that it should never have been removed.
Having now recorded a few of these books, I think my own opinion is the same as Martin Luther who said, "Apocrypha--that is, books which are not regarded as equal to the holy Scriptures, and yet are profitable and good to read."
