Description

Though it was never placed within the canon of Scripture, the Book of Enoch has long been held by both Jews and Christians, to be an authentic and valuable work. If it was indeed written by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, then it would be the oldest book in the world, and would have traveled with Noah on the Ark. When I read it, it sure felt to me like it was Enoch actually writing it, but its authenticity is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognize the Book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible. My vision for recording it is to provide those who are curious to know the contents of this mysterious book with a clearly spoken and slightly dramatized reading. On this show, you will hear the first 33 of the 104 chapters.
