Based on a 22 block combinatorial design of hexachords where each pitch class turns up in 11 of the blocks and where each of the 66 pitch class pairs turns up in 5 of them. Strings slowly and quietly play mainly diatonic triadic subsets of the hexachords, and the winds romp around, Iveslike, with the remaining debris. Thanks very much to Tom Johnson (http://editions75.com) for introducing me to block designs.
