Situated in the center of the AUC campus, the library is one of the few spots that constantly gathers all kinds of students together. The eyes can’t help but get immediately attracted to Its delicate glass structure and its modern mixture of European and oriental design. Known as one of the biggest libraries in Africa, the AUC library is indeed packed with endless book collections, including recent and rare. Once you get past the security by wiping your ID through the sensitive detector, an overwhelming noise from the crowded plaza hits your ears. While the library is mainly a place for studying, reading, socializing and even sleeping, a high number of students on the run undoubtedly visit it just to use its fabulous computers, printers and scanners. Even though there are floors where everyone has to be completely quite, the incredible library could be mainly considered a place to chill out with friends rather than actually study. The AUC library is simply not just any library, as it allows small events and exhibitions to celebrate and showcase their work.
