Barnt is one third of Magazine, the Cologne based label/depot/archive that "has caused quite a stir with its taut and precise yet richly complex output" (Add Void, London) since it was set up in 2010. Also being a core member of the collective Cologne Tape, Barnt is a key figure in the musical output of the label.
His debut EP "What Is A Number, That A Man May Know It?" from 2010 became an instant modern kosmische classic. Moreover, Boomkat oracled these tracks „could be killer DJ tools in the right hands“. And this is exactly what happened, with the (now sold out) record being played by the more sophisticated Djs including Four Tet, Dixon, Caribou, Finn Johannsen, Optimo, etc. He is now part of the Cómeme Team.
