»I haven't heard music on a sound system (or had a proper dance) for a while, and I'm missing it. I'm happy to listen to others play more intense/clubby music at the moment, but not so in the mood to play it myself.
So this mix is more like a radio set, of sorts. I wouldn't be against playing some of these tracks out – indeed, parts of the mix were inspired by some favourite warm-up selections. But some of the tunes I definitely haven't had the chance/courage to play in public, yet. :)
Some of the tracks are very old to me, and some of them very new – maybe the biggest gap between these things in any mix I've put together recently. In a way, that might reflect the uncertain times.
