A new Vancouver company and a Victoria addiction specialist are bringing a Finnish-developed treatment for alcoholism to British Columbia, that will allow alcoholics to continue consuming alcohol. Alavida Health Ltd. and Dr. Diane Rothon will use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a medication called naltrexone. Dr. Rothon told Gregor Craigie how the treatment works in this interview.
