In a split screen, Michael visits the headteacher. Alex goes to the underpass and leaves his diary open on his bed.

CANTWELL: You’re friends with that Alex boy are you not?

CANTWELL: Great, it has come to my attention that he hasn’t been attending his classes, would
you see to it that he receives some help on his philosophy assignment?
MICHAEL: As I said, we’re not really…
CANTWELL: Splendid, could you also see me tomorrow to tell me how he is, and when he thinks
he’ll be coming back. I need to know whether to clear out his locker.
MICHAEL: Fine.
Michael makes his way to Alex’s room.

Michael picks up the diary.
