Gabri Vallegra, aka Merk, was born and raised in Genova and approached music as a teenager, discovering a passion for vinyl, in particular for electronic music. After years of DJ sets and records in the underground world, he decided to create his own personal sound and start producing influences from many styles of electronic genres that he played. Merk’s pseudonym comes from a dedication to a fraternal friend who passed away, and the goal is to take his name around the world with music. His style is well recognizable, and several of his releases have reached Beatport's top 100 tech house charts. Merk's releases have received support from top DJs, including Wade, Meduza, Viviana Casanova, Patrick Topping, Paskman, Miguel Bastida, Solardo, The Cube Guys, and many others, and his steady growth is making him more and more known in the scene.
