Description

Older Marylanders are encountering numerous difficulties, in trying to schedule appointments for “COVID-19”-vaccinations. That’s according to Hank Greenberg—the state-director of “A-A-R-P Maryland”…

“We’re hearing from our members that the current system just isn’t working as it should—and [that] they can’t schedule an appointment: You know, sometimes their screen might freeze when trying to access the state’s website. Or, they might wait for hours when calling its toll-free number—only to be told to go to the site instead, online. Or, you [sic] spend hours—only to be told [that] there are no appointments. Immediate help is needed for older Marylanders who aren’t tech-savvy, and are experiencing difficulties signing up—as well as [for] those who don’t have online access, in the first place—which is about a half-a-million people. The state needs to establish a dedicated, easy-to-remember, toll-free number—to call, specifically, for help in signing up for an appointment. We’re also asking for uniform standards, to ensure that people make an appointment for the second shot—at the same time that they’ve had their first shot. And finally, all Marylanders need accurate and transparent information about vaccine-allocations and -distribution. And, that’s why there has to be some centralized, easy-to-remember, easy-to-use location, for everyone to access this life-saving vaccine.”
