Description

In this episode Leon and Russell are joined by Dr Ian Hall, a Leeds fan in exile in East Sussex. A Leeds United fan since 1977, Ian is currently writing a book on the club's late 70s and early 80s era when the club entered a slump, going from European Cup finalists to relegation to the English second tier.

At the club's core there is a long tradition of Welsh players and Ian discusses some of those players from his formative years on the Elland Road terraces, before taking a deep dive into the current 'Welsh Mafia' comprising Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Daniel James, as well as touching on Charlie Crew who recently joined Doncaster Rovers on loan.

Ian has also selected a Leeds Welsh XI which can be viewed here: [link]
