Ed Gurak has been a follower of Jesus Christ for 54 years and married to his wife, Susan, for 53 years (after dating for 5 years). He has 2 grown children, Michelle with husband Patrick in Richmond, VA and Dave with wife Lindsay in Franklin Lakes. Ed and Susan have been blessed with 8 grandchildren. Ed, a life long resident of NJ and Bergen County was born and raised in Garfield before moving to Wyckoff in 1974. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University and a Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. After a few years in public accounting Ed embarked on a 40 year career in banking. The first 18 years with the Prospect Park Savings Bank in Haledon and West Paterson and then 22 years with Columbia Bank in Fair Lawn. Much of his career was in Accounting and Finance with the last 5 years as Chief Risk Officer at Columbia. Throughout the years Ed has served in numerous industry, community, church and other Christian organizations. Ed 1st attended NCS Bergen County in 2005 and has been a “committed brother” since. He has served in chapter leadership roles through many of those years.
