As an Assistant Vice President at LAN Associates, Matt is responsible for the development and management of LAN’s New Jersey Architectural Department. He has been in the architectural industry for over 17 years, working at several local and global firms including Wells Associates and Gensler. He is a licensed architect, member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), LEED Accredited Professional, Construction Document Technologist (CDT), and is NCARB certified. Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s in architecture.

Matt’s diverse background in design, construction and technical knowledge has led to a creative and well-rounded leadership style. He plays a vital role in LAN’s business development and project contract acquisition efforts, and his expertise in project management has led him to efficiently direct various projects ranging from hospitality, commercial, retail, mixed-use, multi-family, and non-profit institutions. Matt’s background in historic adaptive reuse, and passion for sustainability, have proven the ideal mix to support the development and execution of many award-winning projects across the region. Recently, he was recognized by NJBIZ as a Leader in New Jersey Real Estate and Construction.

Beyond his day-to-day professional role, Matt is passionate about community service and donating his time and talents to underserved communities and non-profits in need. He has designed and coordinated the construction of a school in an impoverished area of Mexico and lead the master planning and design efforts for a medical center development in Uganda, Africa. Matt was also the co-founder of a local Christian skateboarding non-profit called Solid Foundation. Currently, he serves on the facilities committee at his local church, involved in teaching at the Servants Heart Workmanship training program in Paterson and serving on the board as chapter president of the Bergen chapter of New Canaan Society. He is married to his wife Monica for 17 years and has three children, Riley, Madison, and Evan.
