Tom Lane is Vice Chairman and a founding partner of ECP. ECP is a private equity firm that invests in the energy infrastructure sector and has $20 billion under management. He serves on the boards of Wisconsin Energy, Sendero Midstream and US Development Group.
Prior to helping establish ECP in 2005, Tom worked for 20 years in the Energy investment banking group at Goldman Sachs. Tom has extensive experience in financing and merger related transactions and helped to source a number of Goldman Sachs’ principal investments within the energy sector. He has testified before the House Energy Subcommittee on energy related matters.
Tom has a BA in Economics from Wheaton College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
Tom serves or has served on a number of nonprofit boards including Place of Hope, Street2Street, New Life of NYC, Urban Youth Impact Foundation and the New Canaan Society. Tom is married, has four children and nine grandchildren.
