This episode Shaye speaks with Lorna Scott. Lorna is a nurse practitioner, women’s health nurse and NSWNMA Councillor and proud Scotswoman. Lorna moved to Australia from Scotland in the 80s for, as she puts it the “nicer weather”, but it wasn’t long before Lorna had thrown herself into the world of Australian nursing. In 1987 Lorna became one of the first Women’s Health nurses in Australia and in the 1990s was part of a groundbreaking nurse practitioner pilot. 33 years on, Lorna is still loving working as a nurse practitioner and women’s health nurse. She has some hilarious stories from her inspiring career to share with us.
