Bio:

Kayla Bergeron held the position of Director of Public Affairs for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and was working on the 68th floor of the World Trade Center, when terrorists hit on September 11, 2001. Her career span includes 15 years working in senior communications roles for high profile governmental agencies, including training for Homeland Security and FEMA Incident Command Systems. Following the traumatic survival of the 9/11 attack, she experienced life with an unimaginable set of personal tragedies. Her long journey, still a work in progress, has taken her leadership to now Program Director for The Connection Forsyth, based in Cumming, Georgia. Kayla is a crucial advocate for mental health, sharing her story of reliance of trauma, addiction, dual diagnosis, and more.
