Growing up on his father’s farm in Greenwood, MS, during the most segregated time in this country’s history, he has managed to have a remarkable forty-five-plus year career as an Orthodontist. Now semi-retired, Dr. Nero was the first African-American to graduate from the University of Kentucky’s College of Dentistry, and the first African- American intern resident at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
