An Austin restaurant that opened in 1975 was recently taken over and overhauled by local restauranteur Larry McGuire. Austin American-Statesman restaurant critic Matthew Odam dined there several times and writes that the new Jeffreys "resides at the crossroads of what Austin has long been and what some imagine the city to be going forward."
